Fitting the threaded insert

    Drill pilot hole

    Drill a clean 8.8 mm diameter hole perpendicular into the material to a minimum depth of 11 mm.

    Align the insert straight over the prepared hole.

    Press flush and fasten

    Press the insert firmly until flush with the surface, then thread in the M8 screw.
