How to choose the right chrome wood screws for wood?

Chrome wood screws come in various sizes, ranging from 40mm to 320mm. Screws usually have a diameter of 3.0 - 6.0mm. The type of head is important for the selection. The most common version is the tapered head. In this respect, however, lens, mushroom, hexagonal, conical, oval and spherical heads can also be distinguished. In addition, the head of a screw or a screw may have an upper notch in various shapes. You can find products with cross, square, hexagonal or even star incisions. Different types of screws are marked with symbols, e.g. PZ1, PZ2, PZ3, PH1 or PH2.
Self-drilling chrome wood screws are an interesting alternative to classic screws. Their use is identical, but according to the name, the assembly process is completely independent and does not require the use of any special equipment. The special construction of these products enables comfortable, manual screwing into the wood.
Another noteworthy solution are wood screws with partial threads. They are useful wherever it is necessary to connect space with a low contact surface. One of the alternatives to some applications is to use metric screws with dense threads, usually with a hexagonal head. A special cap is used for assembly to prevent the element from slipping out.
