3. Torn-Out Fixing Screws

Often the fitting itself is not broken, but rather its connection to the cabinet. If the chipboard screws used are too short, or if the hole in the System 32 grid frays due to repeated overload, the runner will pull away from the carcass at the rear edge. The front edge then acts as a pivot point, causing the drawer to tip downwards.

  2. Correct Screws: Always use dedicated Euro screws (for 5 mm holes) or pan-head screws when attaching to the carcass. Countersunk screws can distort thin runner metalwork when tightened, obstructing the ball bearings.
  3. Maintenance: Occasionally clean dust and debris from runner tracks. Avoid heavy greases on telescopic ball bearing runners, as grease attracts dust and jams the bearings.
