  1. Determine positioning: Place the legs at the four corners. Ensure that the mounting plate sits fully on the solid frame. A setback of 10 mm - 15 mm from the outer edge is visually neat and structurally sound.
  2. Mark the hole pattern: Mark the drill points with a pencil through the holes of the mounting plate.
  3. Pre-drill: Pre-drill the marked spots to a maximum depth of 10 mm. This prevents the edge of the MDF or chipboard from splitting when the screws are driven in. Use a depth stop on the drill bit if necessary.
  4. Fix in place: Align the leg and drive the screws in using a low torque setting. Tighten the screws diagonally to press the plate flat against the surface.
  5. Fit central support legs: If using a long unit (such as a 4x2 model) horizontally, for example as a TV sideboard, installing additional support legs in the middle is mandatory. Position these directly beneath the vertical internal dividers, as this is where the load is transferred from the top panel down to the base.
