Step-by-Step Solution: Freeing the Mechanism

The repair is best carried out once the fitting has been removed, as the pivot can then be inspected and cleaned free of mechanical tension.

1. Removing the Handle

Open the drawer or door. The fixing screws are located on the rear face of the front panel. In furniture manufacturing, standard metric screws (usually M4) are used for this. Loosen them with the matching screwdriver and remove the handle from the front. Take care not to drop any washers or roses.

2. Diagnosis and Cleaning

Now check the movement of the dismounted handle. If it swings freely in your hand, the issue was caused by overtightened screws pinching the fitting. If it still jams, the pivot itself is obstructed.
