Wheels / Top Guides

Top guide - symmetrical or asymmetrical?

Top guides are certainly not the most interesting elements of sliding doors, however, when choosing a given system - aluminum or steel - you have to remember that with the first (aluminum) we have two options to choose from - symmetrical and asymmetrical. The purpose of both depends on the handle we choose - if we check the cross-section of the Gabriel handle profile - we will see that it creates a kind of grip for which we open the door, which at the same time creates it asymmetrical, protruding in relation to the centers of the upper track. The Noah handle, on the other hand, is a perfectly symmetrical profile (often used for walk-in wardrobes). The center of panel or glass is ideally in the middle, in this case we should use a symmetrical upper guide.

Bottom wheels - the most important element of the wardrobe

Bottom wheels are strategic in sliding wardrobe doors. They support the entire load, but are also responsible for adjusting and maintaining the right level and driving culture The standard in our offer is that the bottom rollers are ball bearing - thanks to this the sliding is practically noiseless and the life of the door is definitely extended by a few good years.

The bottom guides for the aluminum system are hidden into the bottom horizontal profile so that they are completely invisible, while the bottom rollers for the steel system are attached to the back of the door (thus connecting the vertical and horizontal profiles). This is not usually a problem as you cannot see the back of the sliding door anyway.
