A compact linkage for flaps and lids

This scissor hinge folds into itself as the flap closes, so the mechanism disappears into the carcass and no cup has to be bored into the door.

  • No cup boring: The hinge screws to the face of the panel, so no 35 mm cup hole is needed.

  • 90° stop: The linkage stops the flap at a right angle without a separate restraint.

  • Zinc finish: The plated steel resists corrosion inside kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

  • Compact folded size: The arms fold flat, so the hinge takes up very little space when the flap is shut.

How to fit the scissor hinge

    Mark both leaves

    Hold the flap in the closed position and mark the fixing holes on the carcass and the door.

    Screw the leaves down

    Fix the carcass leaf first, then the door leaf, keeping the arms free to fold.

    Check the stop

    Open the flap slowly to confirm the linkage stops cleanly at 90°.
