These M8 T-nuts provide a secure, load-bearing metric internal thread in timber and wood-based sheet materials. Integrated retaining claws bite firmly into the workpiece on insertion to stop the fitting from spinning when tightening bolts.

M8 internal thread with retaining prongs for timber

These M8 T-nuts create a permanent metric thread anchored securely from the reverse of timber components. The prongs bite into the wood during installation to keep the internal thread locked firmly in position.

Installing M8 T-nuts into wood

A hammer is required to drive the prongs flush into the timber surface.

    Drill hole

    Drill a hole through the timber component at the marked location to accept the barrel.

    Position T-nut

    Insert the threaded barrel into the prepared hole from the reverse side of the workpiece.

    Drive home

    Drive the fitting using a hammer until the retaining prongs are fully embedded flush with the timber.
