A 710 mm leg for a made-to-measure top

This table leg is screwed straight to the underside of the top through its mounting plate, so a plain board becomes a table without a separate frame.

  • Steel tube: A rigid tube that carries the load of a solid or board top without flexing.

  • Matt black finish: A low-sheen powder coat that suits industrial and Scandinavian tops alike.

  • Plate fixing: The welded plate spreads the load across the underside of the top.

    Set the leg in from the edge far enough to clear the top and mark the plate holes.

    Pilot and screw

    Drill shallow pilots, then screw the plate down without breaking through the top face.

    Check for wobble

    Stand the assembled table on a flat floor and adjust if one leg sits proud.
