These universal wall plugs expand, knot or fold depending on the material behind them, so the same plug can be used in brick, block and plasterboard.

    Drill to at least the plug length so the plug seats fully below the surface.

    Blow or vacuum the dust out; a clogged hole stops the plug expanding.

    Drive the screw

    Tap the plug flush, then drive the screw until the fixing pulls tight.
