Achieving a level, professional result requires precise marking during the initial layout. Begin by plumbing the first vertical upright using a long spirit level and securing the top screw loosely. Tighten all fixings once the upright is perfectly vertical. To position the second upright, place a spirit level across two inserted brackets rather than measuring from the ceiling or floor, which are rarely true. This guarantees your shelves will sit dead level across the entire run.
