What exactly is compatible wardrobe hardware?

Standardised wardrobe accessories fit precisely into the pre-drilled side panels. The technical foundation is System 32. The vertical lines of holes have a centre-to-centre distance of exactly 32 mm. This allows hardware to be positioned flexibly in height.

Hinges for wardrobe doors: mechanics and dimensions

For mounting classic hinged doors, concealed cup hinges are used. The recess drilled into the door (the cup hole) has a standard diameter of 35 mm. When selecting concealed hinges / cabinet hinges, the mounting type is the most critical criterion. For shallower carcases (such as a depth of 35 cm), a crosswise rail is technically unsuitable because coat hangers would bump against the back panel. Here, a pull-out clothes rail is installed underneath a fixed shelf. The mechanism relies on a partial extension runner, allowing garments to be pulled out frontally from the wardrobe.

If heavy fronts on a corner wardrobe need to be retrofitted or replaced, using concealed hinges / cabinet hinges with soft close is recommended. Cruciform mounting plates are used for secure installation. These plates feature pre-fitted Euro screws that screw flush and tear-resistant into the 5 mm carcase holes.
